Two Bothwell residents face charges following a recent police raid in the East Kent community.
The OPP-led Biker Enforcement Unit, with support from Chatham-Kent police, as well as the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit and the Emergency Response Team, executed a warrant at a home on Zone Road 7 Aug. 18.
Two people were arrested at the scene and officers seized five rifles, approximately 3,000 rounds of ammunition and a stolen motorcycle.
The investigation that led to the raid began in April, according to police, when the Biker unit started looking into a current member of the Ontario Hells Angels who is also a former member of the Alberta Hells Angels. The investigation was related to a stolen motorcycle from Alberta.
A Bothwell man, 60, and woman, 52, face charges of possession of stolen property, and breach of firearms regulations – store firearm or restricted weapon.
