Couple arrested for weapons offences
Two people have to answer to weapons charges following a rather unneighbourly incident Thursday.
Shortly before noon, Chatham-Kent police attended a residence in Thamesville for a neighbour dispute, where it was learned an altercation took place between several parties.
As a result of the investigation, a 32-yea-old male was arrested for assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and weapons dangerous.
The man’s 27-year-old girlfriend was charged with assault with a weapon, mischief and utter threats. Both were later released from custody with a future court date.
Domestic charges
Around 4 p.m., police responded to a residence in Dresden for a domestic dispute.
As a result, a 22-year-old female party was arrested at the scene for one count of assault.
