Obstructing police
A Chatham man faces charges in two cities following his arrest Thursday.
At 10:56 p.m., while on general patrol, Chatham-Kent police located the man on Eight Street in Chatham.
Police confirmed the man was wanted for an incident earlier in the day and an outstanding warrant held by London Police Service.
A 30-year-old Chatham man was charged with obstructing a police officer, theft and possessing stolen property. He was transported to police headquarters and released to the London Police Service with conditions and a future court date.
Suspect found
Two weeks ago, police responded to a business on King Street East in Chatham for a theft investigation.
Through surveillance video, a woman was observed removing an item from the shelf, concealing it on her person and leaving without paying for it. The woman was identified, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
On Thursday at 7:22 p.m., the woman was located on Colborne Street in Chatham and arrested.
A 38-year-old Chatham woman was charged with theft and possessing stolen property.
Failing to attend court
At 3:12 p.m. on Thursday, police located the man on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Police confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. The man was initially charged in October last year with obstructing the police, possessing stolen property, and four offences under the Highway Traffic Act and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
A 51-year-old Sarnia man was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was released with conditions and a future court date.

At 9:08 p.m. Thursday evening, while conducting traffic enforcement on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg, police located a man and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The man was wanted for failing to attend court after being charged with breaching the conditions of a probation order.
A 34-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and released with a new court date.
