Unhappy Easter

A young Chatham man and woman face assault charges after an argument turned physical.

Chatham-Kent police got the call Sunday at about 9:45 a.m. of a disturbance at a residence in Chatham. Through investigation, police learned that both a female and male were involved in a physical altercation.

A 19-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with assault, mischief and resist arrest.

A 21-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault cause bodily harm. 

Lying on a lawn gets woman arrested

Around 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon, police responded to the report of a suspicious woman lying on a lawn in the area of Elgin Street in Wallaceburg.

For her own safety, the intoxicated woman was taken into custody, as she was unable to care for herself.

A 25-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place. She will be released when sober.

B&E in Tilbury

Sometime between April 2 and April 9, someone forced their way into a building on Quinn Line in Tilbury. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a red riding lawnmower, two push mowers and a small garden cart.
