Drug charges

A report of suspicious activity Monday night in Wallaceburg led to a local woman being arrested.

At 11:13 p.m., Chatham-Kent police responded to Edwy Street in Wallaceburg for the suspicious activity.

Officers located the woman in Glen Mickle Park, intoxicated, police allege. She was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

Upon search, incident to arrest, the woman was found possessing a suspected controlled substance, police say.

A 40-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Bail violation

An early morning family squabble resulted in a local man getting charged for violating conditions of his bail.

At 12:35 a.m., police responded to a family dispute on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

The man was intoxicated and aggressive with other family members, police say.

Officers arrived and located the man. Police say he was bound by two release orders not to attend the address, and was arrested as a result.

A 30-year-old Chatham-Kent man is charged with failing to comply with a release order.

Crash leads to impaired charge

A Monday night accident has led to impaired driving charges against a Windsor man.

At 9:18 p.m., police responded to Bear Line Road in Dover Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

Police arrived and, through investigation, believed the driver to be operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

A 34-year-old Windsor man is charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
