A third COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
Chatham-Kent Public Health formally declared the Rehabilitation Unit to be in outbreak after four cases of health-care-acquired COVID-19 were identified. CKHA’s Medicine A and B units at the Chatham site also remain in active outbreak.
As part of the hospital’s pandemic response action plan in keeping with the organization’s infection prevention and control guidelines, a number of additional initiatives have been implemented.
CK Public Health will work closely the hospital to manage the outbreak.
CKHA would like to remind the public the hospital remains a safe place to receive care.
