A brother and sister from the Ridgetown area are making history, winning back-to-back Youth Agriculturist of the Year awards for 2021 and 2022.
Morgan Anderson was chosen to receive the award for 2021, with Mitchell Anderson getting the nod for 2022.
The awards recognizing the siblings’ contribution to agriculture will be part of the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce’s 76th annual Rural Urban Awards to be held at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre Nov. 23.
Other agriculture leaders on the award list are Wallaceburg’s Dennis DeBot, who is being recognized as Agriculture Innovator of the Year, and Ken McEwan of Chatham will receive the Friend of Agriculture award.
The Agriculturist of the Year award goes to Danny Ellis of Wallaceburg posthumously.
The ceremony will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and the awards program at 7 p.m.
