A labyrinth walk fundraiser takes place Sunday in Chatham, with a focus on inclusivity and support to a diverse set of groups.
Organizers said the walk is for All Lives Matter/Has Has No Home Here.
Sharing in Love Mission will be collecting donations of clothing, personal care items, cash and more for the three non-profit organizations: the Native Women’s Association of Canada, the Chatham-Kent Women’s Shelter and the homeless shelter.
Participants are asked to bring donations of hats, mitts, scarves, socks, or a gift for a woman and walk the labyrinth together.
You can purchase “Hate Has No Home Here” lawn signs as a fundraiser for $20 each.
Learn a little more about labyrinths and how they are used, then enter into a time of mindful walking and reflective thought on our seven-circuit traditional and nine-circuit chartres canvas labyrinths that will be available.
Afterwards, there will be a time for reflection, journaling, discussion and conversation to share thoughts of what came up for you during the labyrinth experience.
The walk takes place Nov. 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Active Lifestyle Centre on Merritt Avenue in Chatham.
