Know an excellent woman who makes an outstanding contribution to her community, locally or globally?
Now is the time to nominate her for a YMCA of Southwestern Ontario Women of Excellence Awards for 2023.
The WOE awards celebrate the achievements of inspiring women across the region, recognizing women whose outstanding activities contribute to the vitality of their community.
The awards event to be held May 16, 2023, will return to a face-to-face format.
Funds raised through the WOE awards supports the YMCA Community Starts Here campaign, which aims to leave no one behind.
Honourees in 2021 included Michele Beaudoin, Michelle Baldwin, Maame De-Heer, Dr. Margery Holman, Elana Johnson, Amanda Kennedy, Aruna Koushik and Kyle MacDonald.
Deadline for submissions is Dec. 12 at 12 p.m. Tickets for the event go on sale Feb. 8.
