Tickets for the Crow Your Boat race are on sale.
The race is a fundraiser for Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario, and part of the Crowfest festivities.
Crows, sponsored by local businesses and organizations that have given prizes, will race down the Thames River on Oct. 15 at 5 p.m. The top prize of a $10,000 gift card For Lally Auto Group or $10,000 cash, has been donated by Lally Auto Group and Chatham Chrysler.
“We love supporting new festivals and activities that bring the community together,” Adam Lally said in a media release.
“Crowfest has all the elements of becoming one of the best festivals in Ontario; we are excited to be part of it, and to be supporting a great charity at the same time,” said Mike Hogue, general manager, Chatham Chrysler.
The support is appreciated by Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario staff.
“We can’t believe the generosity of the Chatham-Kent business community,” Bailey Tschirsow, outreach and events director for Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario, “Within just a few short weeks, C-K businesses stepped up with $17,000 in prizes.”
Other prizes up for grabs include a $2,000 travel voucher from Vellinga Travel, $1,000 Best Buy gift card, an iPad, plus various gift cards and more.
Tickets are $10 apiece or $20 for three. Tickets will be available at Loaded 2 Go restaurant located at 200 King St. W. in Chatham, and at all Crowfest activities. For additional information, visit crowfestck.com.
