Just in time for school, first-time bus riders are being offered a sneak peek about the experience this Saturday.
The Lambton Kent District School Board and the St. Clair Catholic District School Board are partnering on a first-time rider orientation session at Ursuline College Chatham Aug. 20.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will feature 30-minute sessions.
The event is aimed at youngsters from JK to Grade 1. Parents are invited to bring their child to the free event. The youngsters will watch a brief video and then go for a short bus ride together.
Safety trainers will be onsite to address any concerns, discuss basic safety rules such as crossing the street safely, as well as how to evacuate a bus.
