Walpole Island police and the OPP continue to investigate after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and died Monday night.
Police say the tragedy occurred about 11:30 p.m. on Chief’s Road.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital where they were later pronounced dead.
A section of Chief’s Road was closed as police investigated.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
