Cops assaulted in Blenheim
Beat the heat, not the police.
Someone got into a scuffle with two Chatham-Kent police officers Wednesday night in Blenheim.
Police say the officers arrived to a Talbot Street West apartment building in Blenheim shortly before 11:30 p.m., responding to a disturbance call.
According to police, a man was banging on numerous doors and attempting to enter apartments.
The officers learned the man had been kicked out of the building several times in the past, and was hiding in an apartment closet where he was not welcome.

He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
