A Chatham Township man is in custody in connection with what Chatham-Kent police say was an attempted murder in Wallaceburg on the weekend.
Police received a call of gunshots in Shiloh Park in Wallaceburg shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.
Officers arrived and found a home that had been hit several times by gunfire. Police say people were home at the time of the shooting, but no one was hurt.
The following morning, at 1 a.m., police arrested a suspect.
A 55-year-old Chatham Township man is charged with two counts of attempted murder.
He remains in custody.
Police say this was a targeted attack and that there is no threat to public safety as a result.
