Chatham-Kent police say they’ve ruled out foul play in connection to the discovery of a body in the Thames River on Friday.
According to police, police and fire officials pulled the body from the river in Dover Township shortly before 7 p.m. on May 20.
The remains were transported to the London Health Science Centre for a forensic autopsy.
Foul play is not suspected and public safety is not a concern.
Out of respect to the family, police say the identity of the deceased will not be released.
Police say they held back this information from the public for four days until they could notify next of kin.
