$25,000 damage for $50 in wiring
At approximately 4:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, someone cut a fence and entered a business compound on Merritt Avenue in Chatham.
The suspects then cut out copper wire from a work truck. Approximately $50 worth of copper was taken and $25,000 damage was done to the truck.

B&E in Chatham
On Sunday, police responded to an address on Lacroix Street in Chatham in regards to a break and enter.
It was learned that sometime over the weekend, someone forced open a basement door into a residence under construction.
Numerous tools were taken and the suspect(s) caused lots of damage while inside.
Value of the stolen tools is estimated between $10,000 and $15,000 worth of tools were taken.

Dude, that’s not your car
On Sunday night, police located a vehicle on Jane Road in Thamesville that had been stolen the day prior in Chatham.
Someone was in the car.
As a result, a 38-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with being in possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Prank leads to arrest
This morning, just after 2 a.m., police responded to the Boardwalk on the Thames on King Street for an alarm call.
As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that a male party had pulled the fire alarm without cause.
A 33-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged accordingly.
B&E in Dresden
Yesterday, police responded to an address on Wrights Street in Dresden for a report of a break and enter.
Someone entered a seasonal worker residence and stole three TV sticks.

Failing to comply
On Sunday afternoon, police were called to the area of Ursuline Avenue in Chatham in regards to a possible assault.
Through investigation, police learned that one of the parties involved had an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with their undertaking.
A 59-year-old Chatham woman was arrested.
Skipping court
On Sunday evening, police responded to an address on Victoria Avenue in Chatham in regards to a suspicious person possibly breaking into a house.
Police located a female and it was learned that no break and enter had occurred. A query of the female revealed she had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
A 49-year-old Chatham woman was arrested.
