Three more people have died of COVID-19 over the past couple of days, according to CK Public Health figures.

A total of 62 people have died of complications from contracting the virus, since the pandemic began more than two years ago.

As well, at a time where making requirements have been eliminated across the province, our number of residents with COVID appears to be back on the rise.

Over the past seven days, we’ve averaged 13 new cases a day. However, in the past two days, CK Public Health reported 52 new cases, which translates to an average of 26 per day, double the rolling seven-day average.

Still, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance reports just three people in hospital here primarily due to COVID-19, none of whom are in the ICU.

  1. Getting really tired of the statistical tap dance the PHU and media are doing here. We want positivity, testing outcomes, everything Ford stripped away from our toolkit to fight this disease.
