C-K COVID numbers continue to tick upward

Another day, more active cases of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent.

We’re up to 88 active cases Wednesday, as CK Public Health reported 18 new cases Wednesday morning and 15 deemed resolved.

Five people are in hospital with the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance battling the virus, two of which are fully vaccinated, according to CKHA officials.

One person is in the ICU on a ventilator.

Dresden Area Central School is the latest place of outbreak, with two cases reported there.

Also in outbreak is an unnamed workplace, two places of worship, and three schools – École élémentaire catholique Saint-Francis in Tilbury, McNaughton Avenue and St. Ursula schools in Chatham.

Off the list Wednesday was Chatham Christian Elementary School.

In Ontario, we saw 780 new cases over the past 24 hours.
