Chatham-Kent’s ups and downs with COVID-19 case counts dipped Tuesday morning.
We saw four fewer active cases, down to 53, after 10 new cases were reported to CK Public Health over the past 24 hours, but 14 were deemed resolved.
Three people are in hospital battling the virus at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, and there are six areas of outbreak. Those include four elementary schools, a seniors’ home and a church.
Nearly 77,000 residents have received two doses of the vaccines, which translates to 83 per cent of the population aged 12 and up being double vaxxed at this point.
Across Ontario, the provincial government reports another 613 new cases of the virus, and six more people have died as a result.
