Another person has died from COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent.
Chatham-Kent Public health reported that a female in her 50s passed away Sept. 28. She was unvaccinated.
The most recent death is the third in the past two weeks bringing the toll from the pandemic to 20.
Due to privacy reasons no further details were released. It is unknown if the woman’s death was related to any of the outbreaks in the community.
Currently there are eight COVID-19 patients hospitalized at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, with one of those from outside of Chatham-Kent.
Only one is fully vaccinated.
There are five COVID-19 patients in the ICU. Three of those are on ventilators.
