Weapons charges

On Monday afternoon about 3 p.m., Chatham-Kent police officers located a male on Fifth Street that was the subject of a disturbance call yesterday.

As a result of the investigation, a 45-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with breach of undertaking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon.

The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Urine trouble, pal

Late yesterday evening, just before midnight, officers responded to reports of a suspicious male in the area of Westcourt Boulevard in Wallaceburg.

Officers located a 30-year-old Wallaceburg man highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

He was arrested under the liquor license act and transported to police headquarters where he was to be held until sober.

However, once in cells, the male purposely urinated all over the inside and outside of the cell. He was then additionally charged with mischief.

B&E

Chatham-Kent police are looking for a brazen daylight break-in suspect.

On Monday afternoon, sometime between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., someone entered an apartment on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

Once inside, they stole Samsung Galaxy cell phone as well as an iPad Pro 10.

Warrant arrests

On Monday afternoon, just after 3 p.m., Chatham-Kent police arrested a Chatham man on an outstanding warrant.

He was released on an appearance notice with a future court date.

Yesterday evening, officers responded to a theft complaint at a business located on St Clair Street in Chatham.

As a result of the investigation, a Chatham man was arrested for possession of stolen property under $5,000.

He was also wanted on an outstanding DNA warrant which was executed.

On Monday evening, just after 10 p.m., a 27-year old Chatham female turned herself in to the police as she was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
