Break and enter charges

Just before 1 a.m. this morning, Chatham-Kent police responded to an alarm at The Garden on King in downtown Chatham.

Officers located the suspect a short distance away.

A 51-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with break and enter. He was released pending a future court date.

Multiple arrests in family squabble

Yesterday afternoon, Chatham-Kent police responded to a family dispute at a residence in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police learned that a teen in the home was causing a disturbance, even though he was on conditions not to attend this residence.

Officers found the teen hiding in the basement.

A 17-year-old male youth was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.

He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 45-year-old Wallaceburg woman was also arrested and charged with facilitating a breach. She was released pending a future court date.

Disturbance

On Monday morning, Chatham-Kent police responded to the report of a suspicious man on Witherspoon Street in Chatham.

A 23-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance. He was released pending a future court date.
