Dr. Briana Yee-Providence has been appointed to the position of Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team (CKOHT) physician co-chair for a term of two years. I
In her role, she will engage local physicians as a liaison for the CKOHT to provide feedback, advocate for local health-care needs, provide medical leadership, and clinical oversight to develop and implement initiatives with the CKOHT.
The CKOHT is a collaboration of partners committed to co-designing a local health care system with improved access to care that is easier to navigate for everyone.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this initiative and look forward to building collaborative relationships within our healthcare organizations and physicians to achieve the best health and well-being together,” the family physician said in a media release.
Yee-Providence joined the Chatham-Kent Family Health Team in 2015 at the Dresden location where she currently practices.
The CKOHT leadership model includes three co-chairs. Yee-Providence joins administrative co-chair Heather Brooks (executive director at Chatham-Kent Family Health Team), and patient and family advisor co-chair Sheila Satchell (patient and family advisor at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance).
