A Walpole Island man faces charges following a weapons complaint June 29.
Shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, members of Walpole Island Police Service and Lambton County OPP responded to the complaint in the area of Squirrel Island Road.
Police, including members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit and OPP Crisis Negotiators responded to the area and subsequently took an individual into custody without incident.
No injuries have been reported.
A 29-year-old Walpole Island man is charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, assault with a weapon and discharging a firearm with intent.
