Vaccinations rising in C-K as case count stagnates

Vaccinations against COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent have topped 54,000 first doses.

That means 57 per cent of the population aged 12 and up has been jabbed at least once.

CK Public Health reports no new cases of the virus in the past 24 hours, along with no resolved cases, leaving our active case count at 17.

Seven people are now in hospital battling the virus, up one from yesterday.

Across the province, the number of new cases in the past 24 hours dropped to below 700, to 699, a level not seen since mid-October of last year.

The seven-day average is down to 1,030, according to provincial figures.
