C-K sees another COVID death

A 15th Chatham-Kent has died as a result of COVID-19.

CK Public Health officials report on Monday that a man, in his 70s, died of the virus. He was said to be linked to the Medicine Unit outbreak at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

Also on Monday, our number of active cases rose by three to 17. Seven new cases were reported over the weekend, against three resolved, with the one death.

Provincially, the number of new cases in the past 24 hours, as of this morning, sat at 916, the first time it had dipped below 1,000 since March 6.

The seven-day average dropped to 1,078.
