Rage on the road
A minor fender bender in Chatham got heated last night, according to Chatham-Kent police, and a man faces assault charges as a result.
Around 7:30 p.m. last night, police responded to a disturbance between two men on Indian Creek Road East near Queen Street in Chatham, regarding a minor collision.
Through investigation, police learned that one man struck the other man with an ice scraper.
The victim sustained minor injuries, police say.
A 27-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
Curfew breach
Last night, shortly after 11 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed a man riding a bicycle on King Street East in Chatham.
A traffic stop was initiated for a Highway Traffic Act offence.
Through investigation, police learned that the man was currently bound a curfew.
The man was arrested and upon being searched, was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
A 32-year-old Chatham man is charged with failing to comply with his release conditions and drug possession.
ATV stolen
Sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning, someone stole a blue 2004 Yamaha Bruin 350 ATV from a property on Talbot Trail.
Total value of the theft has been estimated at $1,500.

B&E in Chatham
Sometime yesterday between 1:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. someone entered an unlocked residence on Faircourt Avenue in Chatham.
Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a purse and wallet.

Tools stolen
On Sunday night around 9:30 p.m. someone entered an unlocked garage on Eighth Line. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a Mastercraft cordless drill set, a Bosch cordless drill set, a Stihl chainsaw, an Echo chainsaw, and a Bosch leaf blower.
