The Base Line Bridge over the Sydenham River in Wallaceburg will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to commission and balance the bridge.
There will be intermittent closures for the remainder of the week, according to municipal officials, as the bridge will be operated throughout the day to continue work on the balancing and commissioning.
Small boats will continue to have access, however large boats requiring the bridge to be opened will not have access until further notice.
The dates and timelines mentioned are weather dependent, municipal officials said.
