Assault with an e-bike

Yesterday afternoon, Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that during a verbal argument outside, the man ran into his girlfriend with his e-bike. A concerned citizen stopped to help. The man drove away prior to police arrival.

A 28-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.

Truck stolen

Last night around 9:30 p.m. someone stole a white 2006 Ford F-450 truck from a business on Seventh Line. The truck was unplated.

Karaoke theft

Sometime between Sunday and yesterday, someone forced their way into the United Church on Wabash Line, causing about $100 damage. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a karaoke machine.

Collision

Late yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two-vehicle collision on St. Clair Street between Regency Drive and Pioneer Line in Chatham.

A 65-year-old Chatham woman was charged with making a lane change not in safety.
