Woman assaults her mother
Chatham-Kent police say a Tilbury woman is facing charges of assault after a drive home went sour.
It took place Sunday morning, police say, when the victim was driving her daughter and a friend from Wallaceburg to Tilbury.
The victim pulled over and asked the passengers to leave the vehicle, police say.
Police responded and charged a 25-year-old Tilbury woman with assault.
From suspicious to charged
Yesterday afternoon, police responded to the report of a suspicious man around a business on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.
Officers located the man and through investigation learned that he was in possession of a small bow and arrow, regardless of being on conditions not to possess any weapons.
A 28-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with breach of probation. He was released pending a future court date.
Disturbance leads to charges
Around 3:30 a.m. this morning, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the woman was currently bound by conditions not to attend this address or communicate with the man.
A 25-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with failing to comply with her release conditions. She was released pending a future court date.
A 24-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with facilitating a breach. He was released pending a future court date as well.
Curfew breach
Last night around 9:20 p.m., police responded to the report of a small fire in the area of King Street East in Chatham near CN property.
Officers located a man near the fire and through investigation learned that he was currently bound by a curfew of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
A 28-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
