Teenaged girl freaks out in family home
A Chatham teenager is in custody this morning after Chatham-Kent police say she caused “significant damage” to the family home and kicked a family member.
It took place yesterday afternoon. Officers responded to a family dispute at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that during a verbal argument, the youth caused the damage to the home. As the youth was placed under arrest, she kicked a family member, police say.
The 14-year-old youth has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and assault. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Tools stolen
Sometime late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, someone entered a shed on 4th Concession Line and stole various power tools valued at approximately $15,000.

Yesterday morning, police located a woman in Wallaceburg who was wanted for being an accessary after the fact and failing to attend court.
A 29-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing. She was released pending a future court date.

Yesterday morning, police located a man in Chatham who was wanted for property related offences and failing to attend court.
A 28-year-old Chatham man was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing. He was released pending a future court date.

Late yesterday afternoon, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, a 38-year-old man was arrested in connection with an assault investigation involving a family member. He was released pending a future court date.

Last night, police responded to the report of a suspicious woman inside a store in Chatham. Officers located the woman hiding in the washroom area and through investigation learned that she was wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident.
A 30-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and released pending a future court date. She was also trespassed from the store.
