COVID-19 cases are on the rise again in Chatham-Kent after the municipality saw four straight days with more recoveries than infections.
On Friday morning CK Public Health reported 14 new cases and only eleven resolved bringing the active total up to 84. Cumulatively Chatham-Kent has seen 1061 cases.
Outbreaks are on the decline as one workplace has been cleared of their outbreak status. Five workplace outbreaks remain in effect with a total of five individuals infected.
Fairfield Park long-term care home continues to be in outbreak status as well with four individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 to date. Public Health is also dealing with two congregate living outbreaks with two unresolved cases left.
Hospitalization of local residents has gone down to four individuals and the death toll sits at five.
