Parental abuse

Yesterday morning, police responded to a family dispute at a residence in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that the teen had assaulted her mother.

A 14-year-old Chatham girl was arrested and charged with assault.

She was released to a family member pending a future court date.

$30K in truck tires taken in Tilbury

Sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning, someone forced their way into six storage containers on Lally Sales and Service on Mill Street in Tilbury, causing about $500 damage.

Once inside, the suspect(s) stole approximately 100 new truck tires. Total value of the theft has been estimated at $30,000.

Mischief

On Sunday night, police responded to a mischief complaint at an apartment building in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that a tenant had damaged two security camera videos inside the building, causing approximately $2,000.

Yesterday morning, a 31-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000. He was released pending a future court date.

Thanks to the public

On Sept. 12, police responded to two separate fail to remain collisions in the Wallaceburg area. No one was injured, however, total damage was estimated at $12,000.

Through investigation, police obtained a photo of the driver and asked for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

Mission accomplished.

Last night, Reymundo Diaz, 44, of Wallaceburg, was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to stop after an accident. He was released pending a future court date.

ATV stolen

Yesterday, sometime between 6 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. someone stole a 2005 camo Polaris Sportsman ATV from a residence on Minnie Street in Wallaceburg.

Total value of the theft has been valued at $4,000.

Driving while under suspension

Yesterday morning, an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on Murray Street in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police learned that the man was suspended from driving for unpaid fines and demerit points.

A 30-year-old Sombra Township man has been charged with two counts of driving while under suspension.
