Assault with hot chocolate
Early yesterday morning, Chatham-Kent police located a man wanted for tossing a hot chocolate at a woman while she was riding her bicycle.
Police say the man knew the woman.
A 40-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with assault.
What did the fan do?
Yesterday morning, police responded to a disturbance between a man and woman in Ridgetown.
Through investigation, police learned that during a verbal argument, the man took a baseball bat and smashed the woman’s stand-up fan.
A 37-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with mischief.
Theft of tools
Sometime between Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 7:30 a.m., someone forced their way into a truck parked on Selkirk Street and stole various Milwaukee and Klein tools, valued at approximately $3,000.

Theft from vehicle
Sometime between Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Wednesday at 7 p.m., someone entered a fenced compound on Charing Cross Road and stole various tools from an unlocked truck. Total value of the theft has been estimated at $6,000.

Collisions
Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Keil Drive near Riverview Drive in Chatham.
No one was injured.
Total damage was estimated at $10,000.
The driver at fault was charged with disobeying a red light.
