On Wednesday May 27th, 2020 just before 8:00 a.m. emergency crews responded to the report of a port-a-john on fire in Steinhoff Park near Mary Street in Wallaceburg.  Damage was estimated at $1000.

A few minutes later, emergency crews were called to Thomas Avenue, near an apartment building, where discarded furniture next to a garbage dumpster had been set on fire. This is approximately 2 blocks north of the location of the first arson.  The fire was quickly extinguished, however a vehicle next to the dumpster sustained heat damage.  Total damage was estimated at $3000.
