Council had a supersized treat for Tilbury as they approved a development application for a variety store, gas station and drive-through McDonald’s.
Councillors unanimously voted for the proposed developments at Monday night’s meeting.
The subject area is on the south side of Mill Street West and is approximately 29.67 acres in area. The site is currently vacant.
West Kent Coun. Melissa Harrigan said she is excited at the prospect of new business coming to town.
The drive-through alone is expected to provide jobs to 40-50 locals.
She also added that smaller businesses should not worry as they are well established in the area with a solid customer base.
