Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is further restricting their visitor exceptions at the Chatham and Wallaceburg hospital sites during the COVID-19 crisis.
No visitors will be permitted on either sites with the exception of labouring mothers, paediatric patients and Level 2 Nursery, or patients who are end-of-life or undergoing life-threatening surgery.
No visitors will be permitted in the Intensive Care Unit(s) even if they are undergoing life-threatening surgery.
CKHA first implemented enhanced visitors restrictions on March 18, 2020 in response to the developing COVID-19 pandemic in consultation with the Chatham-Kent Medical Officer of Health.
Visitors will continue to be actively screened into the hospital. Those who fail screening will not be permitted to enter, regardless of the patient’s condition.
