On March 11 at 8:45 a.m. a Chatham-Kent OPP officer on patrol along Highway 401 near the Orford Road exit noticed a vehicle moving at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was displayed on radar well in excess of the posted 100-km/h zone.
The driver, a 22-year-old North York resident, was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. They are scheduled to appear in court on April 29 to answer to the charge.
The Race a Motor Vehicle charge includes an immediate 7-day vehicle impoundment and 7-day license suspension.
