B&E yields $5K in jewelry, electronics

A daring daylight break-in on one of Chatham’s busiest streets has Chatham-Kent police seeking the public’s assistance in solving the crime.

Police say sometime between 8:45 a.m. and 7:50 p.m. yesterday, someone forced their way into a residence on St. Clair Street, doing about $500 damage in the process.

They made off with jewelry and electronics valued at an estimated $5,000.
