Computer, tools stolen in separate B&Es

Chatham-Kent police report a couple of recent break-ins around the municipality.

In one instance, someone broke into a residence on Eberts Line between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday.

The culprits did about $150 damage in forcing their way in, and made off a black Asus gaming laptop computer, headphones and a quantity of cash. All told, police estimate the value of the stolen items at about $3,500.

Sometime between Thursday at 3 p.m. and Monday at 7:30 a.m., someone forced their way into a building at Riverview Cemetery in Wallaceburg and stole various tools, valued at about $1,500.
