A Chatham man faces impaired driving charges after someone bounced off one car yesterday and hit a building.
Police say it all started about 2 p.m. Monday when they got the call that a collision occurred on Grand Avenue in Chatham, but the driver at fault failed to stop.
Officers found the vehicle a short distance away where it had struck a building.
Police say the man left the vehicle and tried to flee on foot. He was quickly apprehended.
Officers believed the man had been drinking so they took him to headquarters for a breath test.
A 28-year-old Chatham man is charged with having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit and failing to stop after an accident.
