Sir: I enjoyed Bruce’s rant about other motorists (“It’s simple, folks, obey the law”) in the Oct. 24 Chatham Voice.
I may be careless sometimes (sorry, Bruce!) but I am over 80 years old and have passed the Ontario government’s 45-minute Group Education Session, so I can’t be too bad.
Actually I can add a few items to Bruce’s list. I think four-way stops are a valuable asset – as long as the first driver to reach the intersection takes precedence.
I, too, hate to see stuff thrown out of car windows, especially newspapers, pop bottles or fast food containers. It’s even more distressing if they blow into my driveway!
