Police charged a man they say was loitering near a local high school yesterday with drug possession.
Chatham-Kent police say they learned a man was loitering around the school Tuesday morning and he refused to leave when school officials asked him to go.
Officers arrived, asked him to take a hike and police say he again refused, and was arrested under the Trespass to Property Act.
A search revealed he was in possession of methamphetamine.
Police say further investigation revealed the man was released from court in early August with a condition that he reside at a specific address, and that he was not living up to that agreement.
A 23-year-old man of no fixed address is charged with failing to comply and drug possession.
