Deceased cyclist’s name released

Police have released the name of the cyclist killed Sunday night in Chatham.

James Paul Day, 38, suffered lift-threatening injuries when he was hit by a transport shortly before midnight Sunday on Grand Avenue East and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the truck was headed westbound and believe the cyclist was headed in the same direction.
