When you are released from jail and told not to communicate with a certain person, does the judge or justice of the peace have to tell you that yelling is a form of communication?
And would you not think yelling at that person INSIDE police headquarters might get you re-arrested?
Apparently, that’s what happened Monday. Chatham-Kent police say a woman was released from custody in May with several conditions, including to not communicate with a specific Chatham man.
But yesterday morning, the man walked into police headquarters to allege the woman had just yelled at him while he was walking to get a coffee.
Police say the women entered the front lobby at headquarters and continued yelling at the man.
Officers quickly arrested the woman.
A 36-year-old Chatham woman is charged with failing to comply.
