The on and off ramps to the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at Kent Bridge Road are closed this morning following a serious big-rig rollover.
Chatham-Kent OPP say the crash took place about 6 a.m., as a tractor trail apparently failed to negotiate the off ramp, left the roadway and rolled onto its left side.
The driver had to be airlifted to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He was the only person in the truck at the time of the crash.
Police are still investigating, and the ramps remain closed until the truck and trailer can be removed from the scene.
