Chatham-Kent police got the call after someone stole a couch from a residence in Chatham last night.
Police say the investigating officer learned the homeowner’s daughter had taken the chesterfield.
Early this morning, officers located the suspect and made the arrest. A search upon arrest found her to be in possession of hydromorphone, police say.
A 25-year-old Chatham woman is charged with theft and drug possession.
