Sir: Along with my fellow citizens of Chatham, I would like to congratulate Victor Boutin on the near-completion of the Boardwalk on Thames, his $50-million, 117-unit, 13-storey condo tower, which features exterior Old Chicago Brick and high-end interior finishes.
Victor has had his problems, including subsurface water –I don’t think we can blame the poor old Thames for that – but it looks as though he has other great plans for development in Chatham.
Together with the Warrener family, led by patriarch Dan, who are known in Chatham for purchasing historically significant buildings and re-purposing them for community or private business use, it looks as though we will remain a solid city with good architecture.
