Chatham-Kent police say a man was released from custody back in November with several conditions. One of those was to remain at his residence at all times, unless in the presence of the person who agreed to be his surety.
But last night at about 11 p.m., an officer pulled a vehicle over in Chatham and noticed the man in the backseat of the car, police say. There was no sign of his surety.

About 3:30 a.m. this morning, an officer spotted the man on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.
