Learn tech skills at the Chatham library

Chatham-Kent residents who want to brush up on their tech skills, or those trying new technology for the first time, can get help at the Chatham branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library.

Free tech workshops are being offered this January and February to start the New Year off right. CKPL staff members will teach you how to get started with your new tablet or smart phone, making it easy to explore library apps for free ebooks, audiobooks, magazines and more.

Upcoming workshops at the Chatham Branch (120 Queen St.) include:

iPad/iPhone iOS 12 Basics, Jan. 19 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Learn the basic functions and operations of iPads and iPhones.

Android Basics, Jan. 19 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Learn the basic functions and operations of Android smart phones and tablets.

Library Apps for your iPad/iPhone, Jan. 25 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Get help installing library apps for free ebooks, eaudiobooks, magazines and more.

Library Apps for your Android Device, Jan. 25 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Get help installing library apps for free ebooks, eaudiobooks, magazines and more.

Get Appy with your iPad/iPhone, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Learn how to organize, delete, and add apps from the App Store.

Get Appy with your Android Device, Feb. 8 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Learn how to organize, delete, and add apps from the Play Store.

Registration is required and it is recommended that participants bring their own devices.
